Well, I saw the article about the newer nVidia version of Impulse, so I downloaded it and installed it on Windows XP. I rebooted, and now there is no icon for it in my system tray. So I uninstalled that version with Add/Remove Programs, deleted the Impulse folder, ran my registry cleaner, rebooted and installed the version I had of Impulse prior to that. I still have no icon in the stem tray. Any ideas?
Here you go folks! Just open explorer and go to "C:\Windows\winsxs". Once there type *.theme into the search box in the upper right corner. Scroll down until you see files with a .theme extension, they should be titles like "scenes.theme, aero.theme, etc. Double click on each .theme file to install it. Heck, there is even a Windows Classic theme, and a few high contrast ugly ones too! Enjoy!
Well, I finally got a new PC after 5 years, Intel Core I7 CPU 920 running at 2.8GHz OC'd on a eVGA motherboard, 6GB Corsair RAM, dual nVidia 1GB GTS 250 video cards running in SLI mode, dual Sony DVD burners, Cooler Master full tower and super cooling!
