Well, I saw the article about the newer nVidia version of Impulse, so I downloaded it and installed it on Windows XP.  I rebooted, and now there is no icon for it in my system tray.  So I uninstalled that version with Add/Remove Programs, deleted the Impulse folder, ran my registry cleaner, rebooted and installed the version I had of Impulse prior to that.  I still have no icon in the stem tray.  Any ideas?

Here you go folks! Just open explorer and go to "C:\Windows\winsxs". Once there type *.theme into the search box in the upper right corner. Scroll down until you see files with a .theme extension, they should be titles like "scenes.theme, aero.theme, etc.  Double click on each .theme file to install it. Heck, there is even a Windows Classic theme, and a few high contrast ugly ones too!  Enjoy!

Well, I finally got a new PC after 5 years, Intel Core I7 CPU 920 running at 2.8GHz OC'd on a eVGA motherboard, 6GB Corsair RAM, dual nVidia 1GB GTS 250 video cards running in SLI mode, dual Sony DVD burners, Cooler Master full tower and super cooling!  An LG 24" 10000:1 contrast ratio LCD monitor running at 1920 x 1200 resolution and Logitech keyboard, mouse and Z4 speaker system tops it all off.  Oh, and dual 500GB hard drives too!
