OK, many thanks to Doc for checking out and commenting in this thread on my themes, but I really need to know why hardly anyone else is commenting at all? Please, if you look at my themes, comment on them so that maybe I can use that information when I make a theme in the future. Thanks!

Also, sales on my new site really suck, only 1 or 2 people are even purchasing my designs. I know I should not complain probably, but having your own web site is expensive. With my also helping out the poor and needy, increased sales would sure be appreciated too, I had pretty good sales when WinCustomize allowed sales here, but not really many on my new site at all and just cannot figure out why. But I will definitely keep new themes coming!

Hi Tom,

I love your themes and am buying them, so perhaps my input isn't as valuable from the standpoint that I'm not a person who feels there is any problem with your WindowBlinds themes.

I think the best I could do is perhaps give suggestions on what I might like to see from a 30,000 ft level.  However you feel is best to either ignore or decide how best to incorporate any suggestions is the goal rather than my expecting I could dictate how you want to proceed.
I say that last part because I feel it's prescriptive to others who have an expectation that if they suggest something, that it should be done just the way they say; and if not, they get upset.  I've seen that happen before to skinners on WinCustomize back in the day, and it never goes well for anybody.

Right now I don't have any suggestions, but if I think of any, I will be sure to post here.  Hopefully others will either add to what I write - throwing in their two cents.

Thanks for you input Digicoma, I truly appreciate it.

I actually just thought of two things to say/suggest.

First, I just wanted to put out one of the reasons I buy your themes for WindowBlinds.  My first reason is because I think your themes are the most attractive and functional ones out there.  But the other reason is simple, you give at least some portion of the sales to the sick and needy.  So what does that last part mean?  It means I am giving money to the sick and needy.

To be sure, I wouldn't be giving my money to Tom to give to the sick and needy if I didn't love each theme I bought; I'd just give it with the rest of the money I donate to charity.   But it sure doesn't hurt knowing Tom does this.

The second thing I want to say is that when you put out your themes, you mention to everyone on the LightStar Designs page to consider using Windhawk.  Windhawk is a great program, and I use it.

There is another product I also think should be recommended as well.  ExplorerPatcher is a program that fixes a problem with the taskbar that drove me crazy.  There are many other things it does as well, all toggled through their interface, but the main reason I do it is because it makes it so the clock in the taskbar is the color you designed for the theme.  That means it can bring the taskbar back to all the properties that Windows 10's taskbar had.
I never liked that because of Windows 11's new way of doing things that it took all WindowBlinds themes, across the board, and turned the clock to basic black.  To me, having the clock colored properly is a big part of the theme!

So my suggestion is for you Tom is that you download and try ExplorerPatcher.  Use it first in its default settings, then play around with it and see if you like some of the other things it does as well.  If you like it, perhaps you could recommend it on LightStar Designs as well.

The easiest way to get ExplorerPatcher is to download it from MajorGeeks.  They provide a direct link to the program, and you don't have to go through the programmers GitHub page where he has many programs.

The MajorGeeks webpage for ExplorerPatcher is https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/explorerpatcher.html

This page gives you an overview of what the program does, and provides the link to download it at the top of the page.
I have used MajorGeeks both to stay up on useful programs that get released everyday for decades.  They famously vet all of their programs and the programs you download from their site do not have malware or viruses.  So you don't have to worry about that.

And regardless of whether Tom finds ExplorerPatcher worth recommending, I encourage anyone who reads this to also download ExplorerPatcher and try it out.

Last thing about ExplorerPatcher, like any other good program, it has a developer that listens to the people who uses his programs in order to develop and improve the program over time.  Of course he also has reasons he comes up with his own reasons to innovate the program, but innovations aren't overwhelming.  The new features come out judiciously over an acceptable period of time.  The program isn't wildly changing with each update.   The updates come out regularly, but not overly frequently.  You can probably expect six or so per year.  At least that is my experience with it.

So that is my suggestion.  I hope it helps.

Wow Digicoma, that is a great post! I don't think I really have any issues that might need ExplorerPatcher, but will definitely check it out! Thanks!
